Welcome to Quickstep! Quickstep is a fast-paced dance that is in the same category as Monday’s Waltz, International Standard. The dance is quicker (as you may have guessed) and a fun dance to learn!

Progressive Chasse
While that sequence is beautiful, it looks complex. Don’t worry! It’s easy to learn and we can break it down into just a few steps.
The Progressive Chasse is a basic step in Quickstep.
1/4 Right Turn
The 1/4 Right Turn is another basic and vital move for getting around the dance floor.
You may not notice this move while watching the dance, because it is seamlessly woven into the routine!
Lock Step Sequence
The Lock Step is deceptively hard with a partner, so I suggest listening to Abigail for extra advice!
Counting Lock step

Pivot Turn into Right Turn
Here is a small step combining the previous 1/4 Right Turn with a new move, the Pivot Turn.
