34th Annual OSU DanceSport Classic
The Ohio State University DanceSport team welcomes all collegiate ballroom teams near and far to join us in the heart of Ohio for a fun day of friendly ballroom competition.We are a USA Dance affiliated event, and new this year, we are one of the DanceSport Collegiate Challenges to qualify for USA Dance Nationals. Newcomers are especially welcome to the first competition of the season. We cannot wait to see you there!
When?
Welcome Dance: Friday January 30th, 2026 from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Competition: Saturday January 31st, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Parking is pay by the hour at nearby campus garages and stadium lots. Food options and housing can be found under its respective tab. Look at the “West Campus” options for best results.
How Much?
Spectators: When entering, spectators must self-identify as attending our event. They will be prompted to scan a QR code at the RPAC front desk to receive a wristband for free admission!
Competitors: Prices vary based on the time of registration and type of competitor**. Note: Please pay through Venmo @DanceSportatOSU, with the paying competitors or party in the description. We also accept cash or check to DanceSport at OSU at the registration desk. Do not pay through Ballroom Comp Express.
Early Bird (through January 10, 2026)
Competitor Registration: $45.00
Open Dancer Only or First-Time Competing* Registration: $30.00
Regular (through January 24, 2026)
Competitor Registration: $55.00
Open Dancer Only or First-Time Competing* Registration: $35.00
Late (through January 30, 2026)
Competitor Registration: $65.00
Open Dancer Only or First-Time Competing* Registration: $40.00
Open Only: Competitors who only want to compete novice, pre-champ, or champ can sign up for a discounted rate. Gold/novice dancers are subject to the competitor registration.
*First-Time Competing: We want to make our competition as accessible as possible to those just starting their ballroom journey and as such we will be providing this discounted price to anyone who has never competed at a ballroom dance competition before!
**Restrictions: Only 2 Consecutive Levels per style for leading and for following separately. However, if you switch roles and are not a newcomer as a lead or follow, you can dance down to bronze at the lowest. If you are not a newcomer, switching roles does not make you a newcomer.
